GREAT IDEAS FROM TROOPS NATIONWIDE From KY3130, one of the largest troop in American Heritage Girls! KY3130 started it all, in Christmas 2007, when they contacted Heart & Soul Candies to partner with them to fundraise. They had tried many sales in the past, but needed something that could take care of their fundraising needs in one program. They raised three times the amount they had with past fundraisers. Each year they have continued to grow their sales, last year they sold over 1650 Christmas boxes! This year they sold over 2200 boxes and 25 cases of candy bars. They raised over $10,000. Way to go! As a result of their great success, Heart & Soul Candies entered into the partnership with AHG, Inc. in 2008. This is KY3130 fourth year partnering with us for their fundraising needs. The programs by KY3130 are offered in addition to the Heart & Soul Candies Patch & Award Programs. They are funded by community donations and KY3130 Troop funds. Here are some stats from them as of 11/7/11- "We sold 357 boxes at our show and sell this weekend. We also had 8 families sell 20 boxes and 1 family sell 30 boxes in addition to the 357 - making the grand total of 547. We may need to order more boxes. I have at least 4 more weekends set up to sell- from FC for KY3130. We pray you will find these tips helpful and be able to tailor them to meet your troop’s needs. Thanks KY3130! Introductory Flyer - the how, what, when & where! Requirement Form - KY3130 requires members to participate in fundraisers. This form is used for checking out boxes and payment responsibilities. Another great tip is to use a simple receipt book, FC and member each retain a copy for their records. Show-n-Sell - great for starting the day out right with your Show-n-Sell Sales.
Fun Prizes - KY3130 started a “fund” to supply fun prizes to their members. It is funded by prize donations, purchasing AHG Attic clearance items and a portion of the fundraiser profits. The cost is self-sufficient/self-funded. Depending on how many they sell will determine their prize and the costs. .50 per box sold profit goes to “fund” the prizes. .13 for troop top prizes, and $.37 for individual prizes.
